Thank you for the sample letters of rate increases. I am increasing my lesson fee to $22 per half hour from $19 per half hour and was a little unsure how to phrase it. This helped tremendously!

Thank you for this post, it is great to have a supporting body to suggest fee structures, etc. I am increasing my fees this term (to $25 per half hour) and I find it difficult to continually have to do. I have been teaching for a number of years and started out charging $10 half hour. I've nearly finished a bachelor of composition and production, and studying for my A.Mus at the moment... it would be good if there was a recommended amount based on qualifications?

My name is Antoinette Julius Smithren and I am a teacher of Drama and Art at Lakeside Preparatory Academy Private School, and I have an overwhelming feeling of disgust to all Music conductors. I believe that Conducting is a pointless profession, and I think it should not be a paid job, maybe a hobby, as such.
If you oppose my thoughts I would like a reply [to ...]* stating your beliefs.
Your Kindest Regards, A.J. Smithren
